The English Woodturner

Hand Crafted Beauty

Here's to 2024....

Happy New Year everyone!

I don't have any craft or art shows for a while, but you can see a selection of my work on display at Gallery 107 in Seaford, Delaware. Check out the opening times and address under contacts.

For my ETSY shop, I add new items from time to time. Clicking the link below will take you there. For instance, I have just added a wonderful Cherry Burl Bowl with cavities, bug holes, bark inclusions, an irregular natural rim plus beautiful burl grain (Bottom left in photo).

In the mean time, if there is a custom project you have in mind, then please don't hesitate to contact me to discuss.

Cheers, Tony

Woodturning is a truly captivating art form that showcases the inherent beauty of wood. With skilled hands and a creative mind, woodturners transform raw pieces of wood into exquisite, one-of-a-kind objects. The process involves mounting a block of wood on a lathe and shaping it by carefully cutting, carving, and sanding. As the wood spins on the lathe, its natural grain patterns come to life, revealing a mesmerizing display of color and texture. From elegant bowls to intricate sculptures, woodturning allows artisans to explore the unique characteristics of each piece of wood, creating stunning works that blend craftsmanship and nature. The tactile nature of wood, combined with the endless possibilities of design, make woodturning a truly beautiful and versatile art form.
